We are now accepting shorts, swimwear, sundresses, sandals and transitional items. We are no longer taking winter items such as boots, coats, and sweaters.

We are especially looking for items in 3x and up!

How It Works

Please scroll through this page to review all our guidelines to avoid bringing in unwanted items. For quick reference, clothing must be:

• women's size 12/XL or larger- NO SIZE LARGES
• in good condition, free of stains, holes and pilling
• clean & free of strong scents & free of animal hair

Bring your items to your appointment, and we'll go through them one by one. Then we'll make an offer on the items we want to buy! We love brands like Eloquii, Ulla Popken, ASOS, Torrid, Universal Standard, Modcloth, & Lane Bryant to name a few. We are looking for good quality items and closet staples!

NO Shein, Temu or Lularoe. 
NO JEANS- except Judy Blues
NO HEELS

Trade

The Plus Closet buys clothing from customers by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment by choosing "Sell To Us" from the main menu.

Appointments open on a rolling two week basis. If no appointments are available- check back every few days as more will open up.

Please bring no more than the equivalent of 1 IKEA bag, 1 kitchen trash bag (no contractor bags), or 2-4 grocery bags worth of items.

Please do not bring items on hangers.

If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please reach out to us via email or phone to let us know.

What We Buy:

Clothing

• Women’s or gender neutral clothing sizes 12 (XL) and up.
• In Season clothing. 
• Recent styles or awesome vintage.
• All types of garments including everyday wear, activewear, casual and dressy, business and professional, lingerie (preferably new with tags), and corsets.
• WE LOVE brands like Eloquii, Ulla Popken, ASOS, Torrid, Universal Standard, Modcloth, & Lane Bryant. We are looking for good quality items and closet staples.

• We are looking especially for sizes 3X and up.

Shoes & Accessories

• In-Season Shoes (Larger sizes & wider widths preferred)
• Tights & Socks (New in package only)
• Handbags, backpacks, waist bags, clutches, & wristlets
• Belts
• Jewelry
• Sun hats, ball hats, casual hats
• Sunglasses
• Headbands & hair accessories

Please be extra thoughtful about the condition of your items. Take a second look at your items, paying close attention to stains, holes, missing buttons, pilling, or places where the fabric is excessively worn. We don’t buy clothing that is unclean or smells unclean.

What We Don't Buy:

• Clothing that is stained, pilled, broken, or more than a little worn
• Unclean or bad smelling clothing or clothing with animal hair on it
• Culturally appropriative prints, patterns, garments, or sayings
• Clothing under a size 12 (XL)
• Winter scarves or gloves
• Underwear (unless it is part of a set - like Savage x Fenty or Yitty - and new with tags)
• Wedding Dresses
• Formal/Church hats
• HEELS
• Scrubs (No, we don’t want no scrubs…)
• Fast fashion brands like Shein, Temu, Lularoe, Fashion Nova, etc.
